FAB FOUR OR SUPERB SEVEN? The dynamics of current Batsmanship Oligarchy..

Babar Azam, KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran are strongly battering the tag of cricket kings, they contain the same spirit and ablity to become as magnificent as the Fab Four

Currently the cricket world is going through a, reasonably, good patch, teams have started winning games in overseas conditions. With T20 CWC around the corner more competition is expected to happen as we have seen so far between India & New zealand and England & S Africa. The up comming events will bring more adventure which would possibly create and introduce much better players.
So Far, the cricketing world in batting is hinging around four major player namely; Kholi , Williamson, Root and Smith. But it's been long since they have collectively occupied the face of cricket batsmanship, most of them have marginalized their self to one format like; Smith who playes good in tests, Root is only better in ODIs, williamson has just started to stamp his authority on T20 cricket. This leaves us with only Kholi performing best across the formates.
If such is the criterion for being the best in bussiness then this cliche group of the best is possibly in danger of being replaced by some other players, if not replaced then , for sure , this group is viable to get extended by the addition of some players who play good cricket and who are promising enough to challeng the current status quo of great batsmanship.
Let us see who these players are:
BABAR AZAM
He is already among the Fab four , some critics have tried to replace Root with him. Babar currently deserves the 2nd spot after Kholi on top. Since last two years we have seen how his game has expanded from being a good T20 player to a responsible test player, from playing good at Dubai to playing stylishly in South Africa, England and Australia. From playing one pace game to changing gears accordingly . Despite these, qualities ,his ablity to quickly overcome his short commings and his fluent & stylish batting has made him the favourite player of many fans and a respectable batting figure in the eyes of ex cricketers. His stature is growing with every game , the more he plays the more he will learn how to make the world sing his songs.
Nicholas Pooran!
This master from the West Indies is the most appropriate signifier of West Indian batsman ship. After Lara and Ghyle, Pooran is the one who is content enough to sail the Caribbean ship . His class, his attitude, compactness, and his promising inngings's so far, is advocating his greatness. He still has "to go long before" he achieves what he is framed for but, the smoke is evident of a great fire. He is a complete player, his temperament and his outstanding mindfulness are a great advantage to him, all he needs is to bat ahead of Shemron Hetmyer. Pooran is promising enough to get a place in the superb seven.
KL RAHUL
A naturally devised and witty batsman, who can play all the shots, bat at any position, score at any rate is KL RAHUL. So far Rahul has established himself as a good Odi player, and is a threat to the sovereignty of Babar Azam as top ranked T20I batsman. We still need to see him as a good test Player and for that; his upcoming test series In New zealand is going to be noteworthy. With his current form he can make it a good series, and once he does it his confidance as a good test player will permeat to other formates and will push him to consider and establish himself as best among the 'beasts'.
Kl Rahul is also among the players who can expand the fab Four from its current status to superb seven.

Time will decide weither these three possess the metal to become as good and perform as long as Kholi, Smith, Root and Williamson. Getting into the big names is not just a matter of how good you score in bad conditions, in fact, it is a matter of how long you perform good in any condition acrosss all formates against all teams in every country.

Kohli And Babar Azam; What Baber should learn from Virat.

Babar Azam is enjoying his journey toward great batsmanship since the test series against New zealand in UAE-2018. His form, shape and technique is getting better with every game. His due greatness is evidant if he continues to play in his current fashion. Test cricket, still, is supposed to be his weaker link and his everge-52 in tests in 2018-19- shows how much effort he has put in to enhance his credibility as an established test bastman. His century- 104 runz- against Australia in Gabba  showed his worth and flair as a batsman and quick-self learner. In post match interview Babar conceded his undue shot selection and also discussed how that shot prompted him to play cautiously on merit which is haul mark of a great batsman.     However Baber isn't playing in an ordinary batsmen-dry era, his contemprories are the fab-fours -kholi, Smith, Williamson and Root- of whom everyone is the master of his own game and owner of his own ground.   Kholi is the best among ...

RECORD BREAKING ENGLAND: RECORDS MADE AND BROKEN IN FIRST ODI, ENGLAND VS NETHERLAND.

SHAH FAISAL England recorded the Highest Innings total in an ODI innings against the Netherlands in first ODI of the series between them on June 17,2022. In the wake of creating this record their batsmen recorded their own significant records in terms of runs while the team also managed to create other records.   Most Sixes in an Innings in ODI.   England had topped the record for most sixes in ODI innings of 25 sixes in an innings on June 18, 2019, they hit 25 sixes in their total of 397 against Afghanistan in Manchester. However, they broke that by hitting 26 against the Netherlands in the first ODI by hitting a total of 26 sixes with Buttler hitting the bulk of it with 14. Second-fastest Fifty and 150.  Two English batters; Buttler and Livingstone, scored the second-fastest 150 and 50 in international cricket respectively.  Buttler scored 150 in 65 balls; one ball slower than De Villiers's record on 64 balls. Livingstone, on the other hand, rue a golden ...

Why the ball is not swinging?

Since 2010 cricket has witnessed a constant decline in the swing of ball.  In this passing decade batting has become the dominanat  force and bowling has become just a service provider to batsmen.  The top bolwlers in the world currently are neither super tall and fast like Garner, Holding, Dennis Lilly , Akhter and Lee  nor they are supreme swing masters like Wasim ,Waqar, Mcgrath, Bond and Pollock. They are in the middle with no full strength in a single aspect like sheer Swing or raw pace.            Cummins, Starc, Boult , Bumrah ,  are bowlers who can swing a cricket ball with good speed , but their good speed is something which Shoaib or Lee would bowl at when not on top of their rhythm.  They bowl in the window of 140...147kmph which can be called good speed but not fast bowling, similarly they can swing the ball which is, almost, entirely  dependent upon the conditions. They can swing if the conditions allow t...
