Jofra Archer on monday reported his abuse by some spectator from the crowd after his dismissal against New zealand in the first test. This is the second time that such an event of intolerable behaviour expression happened in the country . Not long ago the world saw how a mosque was invaded by a shooter opening fire on people who were getting ready for prayer.
Happenings of such events is a critical sign for any society, it pervades the air of distrust among other scocities and the place where it happens. New zealand officials have encountered both the issues with positive and sincere interest. The world saw how Kiwi prime minister displayed her sympathy with the victims and called the incident an issue of brutal organization of thought pattrens based on baised and intolerant theories. In the same manner the kiwi officials prolaimed their disappointment with the racial abuse happened to Archer by a kiwi audience. Willaimson and the board officials conveyed their sympathise to Archer and English cricket who look concerned with the presence of such mindset still prevalent in New zealand. Williamson, Kiwi cricket captain, called it a shame for such a multicultural society and Ashly Giles, director of English cricket, called it a concerning thing if it still exists in our societies. The world believes to have advanced in these regards ; racial abuse, religiously baised mentality and cultural segregation. New zealand is a hub for people from different backgrounds, it allows masses to experience diversity with hegemony of tolerance and acceptance.
The attitude displayed by both , kiwi government and cricket board officials, justifies their claims of being a society that encourages humanity, commensalism, mutual understanding and harmony. Such reactions by governments and officials will enhance the gratitude between people with same and different backgrounds. It's a soothing site to see a country trying to ward off evils from its society while most of world is busy in giving air to populist and tension creating policies and agendas.
We hope the governments around the world take heart form New zealands' approach and create zero tolerance for any misconduct especially when teams and officials travel from other shores to play or communicate with people and officials of a country or society.
